bummer, i got it to work, but now it keeps getting to ps3 XMB when i try to load a different game, i deleted it and stayed with FBANext until there is a more stable version out.
its very unstable on rebug 4.30.1, thats what i found out and at another homebrew site some people are experiencing the same thing on cfw rebug 4.30.1.
CAPTAINCPS-X can you look in to it why the rebug firmware has a little quarrel with this FB A RL??

I had time today before going into work to beta test with my joystick as PL1. I think it was already mentioned that a combo button command with the joystick causes the game/rom to reset.
Issue:
Make no button for:
L3, R3, L3, R3,L1,L2 causes odd behavior of button functions that are not mapped.
Also creating game reset with joystick back and down left. Also when D-Pad Emulation is on or off.

Wishes/feedback:
I forget what my buttons are assigned for when it comes to L1,L2,R2, and R1 on my joystick.I wish the button config GUI would just not cycle through the options for button assigns and just read when I push my button and it would detect the button it is and what I want to use it for. Still, this wish might not be sound, because if there ever is to be a macro button mapping for 3Kick and 3punch for doing Akumas teleport, then my wish is pointless.


Now, how to get into Service mode so I can set all my games on easy and Free Play?

(Is that Artik from the old FBA-XXX days here?)

Thanks you both for your feedback, I appreciate it, that is the main purpose of a "beta" release to be able to identify problems before doing a final release.

I will try to solve all the issues you both mentioned as soon as possible, if I am able to reproduce the issues on my end then it will just be a matter of time

If there is any other details regarding the problems please let me know, they will definitely be of help to fix them.

I too just experienced the throw back to XMB when loading a rom. If it's any help I'm on REX 4.21 and just switched on my PS3. I got around it by loading FBAL inside of MM.

Thanks for the info as well, I think I just found the issue, I haven't confirmed it yet, but I think I'm passing to much data as arguments to RetroArch core, and as a result it cannot handle it and returns to XMB or freeze. I need to confirm if my theory is right, if it is, then I will have to pass the arguments externally.

I'll report back soon.

UPDATE: Nop, it is not arguments, I did an extensive check and cannot reproduce the XMB kick-back, for me it just works fine, probably is because of the way I signed "fb_alpha.SELF".

I will try resigning it differently to make some tests, @Rautz are you available to do some tests if I send you new test builds? I will greatly appreciate it, I just don't want to switch to Rebug just for that LOL.

Well I have bad news guys...my PS3 just died on me again while using multiMAN.

Apparently it overheated and YLOD, this will be the second time it happens, is a CECHE-01 / BC, so it was expected at some point.

I will have to put on hold development of FB Alpha RL until I can get it to a proper repair center to check if they can bring it to life once again.
