Softmod with Jak X

I read in old threads across the web that PS2 softmod seems to be possible with Jak X game. I'm having trouble finding a guide though. Can anyone help me?

Never heard of that method, but you could try this:

I guess I'd better buy Under Fire.
I did find something, but external links are dead that included files I think:

Edit: On mcboot site the refer Action Replay as method. I do no have AC but I have a XPloder disc, if that provides any way.

Send a message via AIM to <GEEK>
Just buy 007 Agent Under Fire and replace the driving.elf file with the Free McBoot .elf. You can find the game for $1 or less now days... You could also rip the ps2 apart and take the top of the optical drive to expose the disc. Load up a ps2 game and quickly swap (during the Playstation 2 screen when game is loading) for a "borrowed" copy of Agent Under Fire.

I've been into it. Using 007 or Jak X is the same thing, mostly. There is actually a list of games on the FMCB website. I'll first try with Jak X. If unsuccesful, I'll buy 007.
Either way, XPloder V5, wich is the one I have doesn't allow to copy save games from USB to the Memory Card, but any files (wich for its original purpose is rather strange). Could I use this to directly install what I need in the memory card?

I'd go with Agent Under Fire. I've tried Jak X and Smackdown vs Raw 2006 and both came up with a red screen. I ended up buying agent under fire and got it to work on my first try.
