star chip? as in starship. i was wondering if the panasonic works like that although it just has 1 nand so no interleaving maybe just bad block re-mapping although this nand has a good write up so it may not need that. it really needs looking at propperly. and i can only do the basics but whatever i can get done will hopefully help the devs in some small way. even if its just to start documenting bits off it. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* I'm just looking at how this board is set out. Mapping test points And now seeing if the nand can be dumped If everything is on the nand and not on the panasonic chip then there will be more info there as it will be like dumping the nand on old phat consoles plus dumping the hdd. But i doubt there will be anything useful. It will just be worth documenting at the most |

you can take a look here (using goolge translate)
http://www.consoleopen.com/forum/tut...matizzato.html or googling for "corona v2 reading nand" I found also the original guide https://www.dropbox.com/s/ln33bajdgz...ll_Hack_GT.pdf ![]() The controller is different but is always eMMC standard ps: on xbox you don't need 68ohm resistor and only pads 1,2,3,4,16 to connect Last edited by guerrierodipace; 02-16-2013 at 04:28 PM. |

![]() using SD reader will only allow for 1 or 4 bit mode, as you wont be using the datalines used for 8 bit communication (dropping to 1bit only, when the reader relies on /CD signal). Also keep in mind that not all readers can be used. Sandisk seems to be a good choice, also using Linux and not Windows gives you a lot more control over the initialisation/reading/writing process (higher compatibility too). And yes, this trick also works on Wii-U eMMC and many ebookreaders, tablets, phones etc as eMMC is JEDEC JESD84-A4 compliant, which has a lot in common with MMC 4.x. With these differences:

X360 NAND flashers use the Southbridge of the console in JTAG mode, to access the flash. You cannot use them on PS3 as such.
