Whats the proper setup (directories, naming, & etc.) for PSX games with multiple disc?

Also do you replug your external hdd to imitate the inserting of the next corresponding disc?

&

dev_usb000/PSXISO/Star Ocean The Second Story/Disc Two/SOTSS2.ISO

@R3QU13M I dont use multiMAN, but since is the same IrisManager procedure, I think the problem is your game path/folder structure. Put the multidisc isos on the SAME folder.
dev_usb000/PSXISO/Star Ocean The Second Story/Disc One/SOTSS1.ISO
dev_usb000/PSXISO/Star Ocean The Second Story/Disc Two/SOTSS1.ISO
The correct folder structure is:

dev_usb000/PSXISO/Star Ocean The Second Story/SOTSS1.ISO
dev_usb000/PSXISO/Star Ocean The Second Story/SOTSS2.ISO

To change discs - According to @deank (on *scene forums):

For some reason the unplugging/inserting external hdd and ejecting/inserting disc tricks doesn't work for me when launching a PSX ISO with a multitude of disc within multiMAN.

Note: Disregard any previous mentions before my editing of this post.

Probably because I'm getting multiple virtual memory cards for each individual disc iso corresponding to the same game. If I'm mistaken that shouldn't be happening in the game folder directory?

Even deank have not tested multiMAN PSX multidisc support, so it's hard to guess the origin of the problem (I'm out of ideas). Have you tested this game on irismanager? It could be a specific game compatibility problem with the ps1 emulator.

PS. I'm not suggesting you to migrate to Iris, just suggesting that you use it to eliminate possible and specific problems with the emulator and the game itself.

I figured out another alternative for launching the second disc with the previous save data. All I had to do was rename the virtual memory card from first disc iso to the second. The process is tedious but it work for me. Also, good thing PlayStation games saves before switching disc.

@R3QU13M can you please tell me exactly what you did ?? did you put the both discs in the same folder ?? and about the virtual memory did you mean that you rename the save game from the disc 1 and put it in the disc's 2 folder ?? after that did you choose to launch the disc 1 or 2 ?? I'm sorry for the too many questions !! any help would be really appreciated
