You need to start the guide on 3.55 DEX. The first step is to install 3.55 DEX CFW. You need to be on 3.55 CFW to dump your eid_root_key.

Hi guys.

I have many questions. I have seem different tutorial about going from CEX to DEX, but I am trying to follow this tutorial.
My ps3 is mod with 3.55 cex kmeaw. The latest multiman. I already have the lv1, lv2, key and nand of my ps3.

They ask about installing this CFW355-OTHEROS++-SPECIAL, but already have 3.55 kmeaw on my ps3. Do I need to install CFW355-OTHEROS++-SPECIAL?



Then they told me to install qa_flag_extra.pkg next and see if I can hear any beep. So if I don't hear any beep something is wrong?
Last question for now. which network setting should I go? xbm or multiman?
And what am i suppose to see when I do the combo of keys?
Please help.

I'm having a problem with step 4, I installed the CFW of step 1, dumped the flash memory (NAND) and used eEID to get the eid_root_key, the problem is that using the c2d it shows this error:

EID key: 48 bytes (eid0)
Flash Size: 240MB NAND (dexflash.bin)
ERROR: Input Flash file is not valid!

I don't know what to do, I've read several threads related but nothing works, I've dumped my flash and the eid0 like 10 times just to be sure... and I still get that error... my ps3 is a CECHG01 and the laser is broken. Help please

it's a hit&miss, whatever causing it, each dump is different and something is causing it to not boot properly after reboot, on other try's no problem with it... anyways if ur in doubt and need 1 of the full-proof DEX2CEX ways, use the guide from ps3devwiki >

create ur CEX dump(original targetid)
patch the cexflash with the "355 patches" (use correct ones = FII or IFI!!)
restore that flash (it doesn't talk about mman, i assume it wont matter if flashed from mman instead?!)
finish off with Rogero 3.7

or dex2cexkit..dont ask for it tho..but thats the other full-proof one

I mean, i'm not doing it right now, unless i find some 100% method.I have like, 3 platined games that i like very much, and i wanted then to sync with PSN, but they don't, since they're 4.30-4.31 games, and i can't sync a lot of then, for exemple:Alien Colonial Marines, DmC, Ni no kuni, the cave, dead space 3 and so on, they just don't sync.The other reason, is that i want to have my BluRay playback back too, i miss it a little.I will keep with PS3Ita's 4.21 dex for a long time, until games cannot run anymore, and no fixes appear for 4.21.
