I have a 2001a slim ps3, I lost all the original thermal pads that were originally on the PS3, I brought a new pack of pads. I was wondering where to put them. Does anybody have any pictures or diagrams of where I should place them?

@baileyscream , @playerkp420 and @Sarah1331 will probably know because they had so much ps3's now that we start to call them sluts.

Pad 1 is for the Southbridge

Pad 2 is a rectangle shaped pad

Pad 3 + 4 go on the heatsink, there should be a raised block near the heatpipe.


*There is also a pad on the topside where the blu-ray drive sits. Just look for the raised area with a dot.

can you upload a pic of your board. the cpu / gpu side and i can mark where the pads should go

although it could be the same as what @redtree has posted
