its actually very hard and expensive.

removing the rsx: you might pop the rsx, you might pop something on the board, you might pop some of the balls underneath, you might remove pads on the motherboard.

putting balls on the rsx: you might de-laminate it, you might bridge the balls, you might remove the pads.

putting rsx back on: (same thing as taking it off), it might not even work (rsx is dead without you knowing), it might not solve the issue (you wont know without knowledge of other things).

each rsx costs 20-30 - and the boards are too annoying to replace.

^ repeat this process for the cpu, but know that it isnt replaceable. its stressful

i'm sure ur right..it just looks so easy ..then i stay at it..if u have the $$ and can afford the goodies..pratice on stuff and be good at it..each develop his "own" ways to e.g remove a chip with any prefered tool... but i guess each board is different due to diff things..e.g my gpu screwup, might have lifted it a bit with the razor on the side, but the silicon after all the years has sticked so good..just bad luck..for soldering i'm such a guy 99% like to think i can do this..dont we all but the thing is the tools, money and time,patience..if no qualify for all of them..never be pro at it..just to lazy..first investement would be a solder station...then after having this cr*p nobody in this crapper needing repairs..or cfw's...its like it doens't excist

in the end..it's great stuff...love it..damn reminds me again..wish i wash pro

You don't know how to market what you're doing and you talk a whole bunch of **** while you do it.

This is a ****ing TERRIBLE ad.

You are a complete disaster. I strongly doubt you have ANY skill, experience or proper equipment.

Here is a quick example of what you should be doing:

Try and show the customer you know what you're doing; instead of showing them how much of a child you are.

Sorry for being so mean, but GOD DAMN.
Wow, you are a real winner. I really appreciate all of your "constructive" criticism. The pictures that I used weren't stolen, they were copied and pasted. Your comments make me think that you are a jerk and even if you are a professional, nobody should go to you in the first place. You're horrible to talk to and your work probably reflects that as well. My childish poor Ebay ad is there to HELP people, not get rich so if you have any smart ideas, keep them to yourself because I'm doing just fine without your mouth and rude comments getting in my way.

I can say, that sleyeguy does a good job. And he has done work for me.

As for his age, it is what he says in the ad. As for @BwE 's age, I believe you are a little boy. With a big mouth.
All your posts say how childish you think everyone is. That proves to me you yourself are a child.
Maybe your mother didn't hug you enough, when you were a baby.
Maybe your father didn't beat you enough, when you were disrespectful.

BTW - When I click on your SERVICES link on your site, why does it take me to FILES And when you click on FILES it takes you to SERVICES

Maybe you should worry about yourself, and not so much everyone else.
Awww, shucks, Thanks guys. At least the proof is in the pudding. I spend all day every day fixing 10 to 15 PS3s for people at barely any profit. When I say barely any, I charge 39.99, I put 15.00 into each one, pads paste, and over an hour of work into each one as well.
I don't get much sleep, but I'm here bringing your systems back to life because I like to help people.

I appreciate any positive attitudes that are out there.. That guy... Wow, talk about expressing yourself, kind of scares me a bit lol.

Anyhow. THANX for your support

its usually easier to replace the console or do reflows

In my opinion, a reflow should be used as an extremely temporary fix to get a game out of a bluray player, or to quickly backup data because the unit is going to die. It dries out the thermal paste underneath the heat spreaders on the GPU and CPU and just causes more damage..

Reball is the only way to perm. fix your PS3

I prefer if your console has not been opened before, but because of the site that I'm on, I hope you all know what you are doing so there will be no physical damage when I receive it. Visit this site and just follow the instructions and I'll take care of you.

Sure, your reflows with a heatgun are indeed very temporary. However a full reflow to the point where the balls are liquidous is more than enough (providing you have used good flux paste). How long did the PS3 last on lead-free solder? Few years? That's not good enough?

Reflowing and reballing 'dries out the thermal paste under the heatspreaders' - so that's why you can change it. Also if you reflow both you're an idiot.

39.99 covers everything and I make 25.00 for my time

Im not doing this to get rich, I'm trying to help people out. It was my hobby and now I'm doing up to 15 a day from around the country. I'm proud of my work, I only wish that the people sending them to me would be honest about if they have been worked on before.. I keep getting units that are a disaster inside with thermal paste all over the motherboard, even fingerprints in the thermal past on the board lol.

While you're in there you might as well do both. If your having a GLOD issue, you can just do the GPU, but I find that its easier than tearing it all apart again just to do the CPU if you get a YLOD a month later.
