Well **** me!

I was still able to dump with the opposite (a18 being the one just below RESET). Checked the dump and it seemed right. I checked the hex stuff at the beginning and the values checked out

I just finished doing the downgrading step and i'm getting a YLOD now.

Is this salvegable?

I got to the onekey downgrade step where you use "e3_downgrade.bin" and leave just the right-most switch up.

The step proceeded through fine and did the flash however I can't seem to get it to boot now.

I tried hooking up the Tristate and flashing the original file back on but I'm not even getting a blue light on the unit when i start it up.

keep the A19 and A18 the wrong way around
check the linker is sat on the connector of the main E3 board propperly
and do a new dump.
rename it "test1.bin" patch your origional dump with rogero patcher.
it should give you a new patched .bin file
put both the test and the new patched.bin files in HxD and do a comparison

they should be identical.

if they are then flash your origional (un-patched) back to the ps3.
once flashed do a new dump and compare that with your origional.
if its not identical then re-flash again with the origional.

re-dump re-compare.


once the dump is back on turn off the ps3
turn flash fun down
turn on ps3
it should be fine now
put A19 and A18 to there correct points and start again.

any problems then message me your dumps

Can someone provide me with video tutorial of Flashing PS3 console without Esata station.
All YT tutorials are using E3 Flasher Limited edition. I'd like to see the whole process only with E3 Nor Flasher

Validating dump means ribbon is properly attached to the NOR chip.
So i guess nothing can go wrong after you confirm your backup file?

The whole procedure looks easy so im willing to try this instead paying someone to do this for me
And the reason. People i found said we have done dozens of downgrades but with some we end up with YLOD so we cant guarantee about your console.
Plus they are using the same ribbon over and over again so im thinking that all worn of They might screw it up.

If you don't have a esata station, just boot to the "cannot find HDD screen", when the guide says XMB.
Then after you get to where you should see the "connect controller screen", uninstall the flasher, reassemble your PS3, and continue with the guide.

If you are from the U.S., I offer a Nor model service. If your console has never been opened, I guarantee you will get it back working.

I have done over 300 consoles. Maybe close to 400? I kinda lost count, I have been doing so many lately. LOL.

why the hell does almost every nand ps3 have bad blocks ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
tryed 3 in a row now and non of them is reading the damm pup file after i get it in service mode. service mode is working but it wont read the pup is that becourse of the bad block? i have made 1 whit nand whitout bad blocks and that worked like a charme but not the ones whit bad blocks is there anything that i can do ore is it just bad luck and they cant be downgradet?

then you havent done what i allways do by forgetting to put the hdd back in?
