correct but to remap bad block you only need your dump and the script provided by effleurage.
i think the best way to get remapped bad blocks is to read/write the nand using usb drive , i think the controller in the usb drive is able to check bad blocks
we just need to make a list of usb drives controllers that support reading ps3 nands

you don't need the Teensy. you just need to install Pyton and and Pyton serial and use the script.

@Abkarino do you fancy telling me how you fix without the patched pup or is would you prefer I research and work it out myself?

what should i write in the prompt?

python nandway.py remapbadblocks ?
i mean how to tell nandway where is my dump
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
well well, i'm getting a headache with that so below is details about my ps3

PS3 cechg04 40 gb with samsung B's NAND
Top NAND has 3 bad block but only one is a real bad block ...
i checked modifying the block and i get error.

I patch my dumps and i get a brick
I remap my top nand and patched it and then write back to a zero bad block nand and i get brick

to be sure i write back my backup NAND ... i get it working.

Now i don't how to use nandway with my dumps to check if my manual remap is ok.

nandway.py remapbadblocks top_nand.bin new_nand.bin remapped_new_nand.bin
top_nand.bin is the NAND with the bad blocks on the top
new_nand.bin is any dump you have of the replacement top NAND.
remapped_new_nand.bin is the output that you should write to the new NAND.
what is does is to find all the bad blocks on top_nand.bin, find all the bad blocks in the new_nand.bin and create new file remapped_new_nand.bin which you should flash to your new NAND.
