Hi guys ,
I really appreciate if you could help me.
So I was trying to update the new Rogero 4.30v2.05 from an early Rogero 4.30 , when the second update stopped at 99%.After a few minutes of waiting , I decided to restart the PS3 . and after the restart , it went to system update again , and again stucked on 99%.
Things to mention :
- I forgot I had an original BR Disk inside
- I did the installation via XMB from Software update
- I tried to enter recovery mode , but it won't enter, ( ps3 shut down , hold power -> 3 beeps ->ps3 goes to sleep -> hold again 2 beeps-> 2 quick beeps -> again the system update screen )
Can anyone please help me !

What disc was in the drive?

You can try and format the hdd, with your pc. Then put it back in the ps3.
It will ask you to format and install a firmware.

Turn it on without a HDD and it might work.

If you turn it on without the hdd, it will boot to the "cannot find correct storage screen".
Then when you put the hdd back in, it will start the update loop again.

You have to at least connect it the pc and go into disk management. The pc will ask something about mb boot or something. Say yes.

Then take it back to the PS3.

What disc was in? I wanted to try and figure out how bad off you might be. What firmware was on the disc? I can find out if you tell me what game it was.

I had Resistance Fall of man inside the blueray player .
After I will format the drive, can I put any cfw ? For example 4.31 ?

That is good it was an old game. So if it did install the firmware from the disc, it wasn't over 3.55.
The PS3 Backup Compatibility List has a ? under firmware, for that game.

It is probably going to ask for 4.30, since you were on Rogero 4.30.

I would try and give it the 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader PUP.

Then follow the guide below from Chapter 2, Part 2 "Qa Flag".

You may have downgraded to 3.4 or below.. Hmmm

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. @tjhooker73 do you know what PUP is on that game disc?

@Genessiss what model # is your PS3? Is it able to go below 3.40?
