Hi, I have been unnactive in the ps3scene for about a year and I would like to install a new CFW on my ps3 now.
I think my ps3 is on 3.55 rebug with some spoofs ( i was online when it was first time possible on cfw in 2012? )
I see that there are now alot of new 4.30 CFW and CEX/DEx? firmwares, and now i wonder what I should choose. I only want to be able to play new games on it and bluray movies. I dont care for the psn so much.
Also I dont have a hardware flasher so idk if I can downgrade. but my ps3 is a fat model CECHL04
A few games I have: Dark Souls, Tekken tag tournament 2 and I might buy dark space 3. Is these games possible to back up on hdd and then play on 4.30 CFW just by backing them up or is there some fixes that has to be done?

i use rebug cfw 4.3x....its stable...every game works that i have tried...ps2 psn games work...its a really good cfw in my opinion.

Rogero 4.30 2.05 is what I use, but PS2 classics are 50/50 if they will work at all or not, and for me they 100% do not work.

Rebug 4.3x is the complete package and according to 99% of users PS2 classics work....so I would recommend if you want a silent CFW with no options to mess with and you dont care about PS2 games: Rogero... but if you want the lot and options galore go for REBUG

Also CEX and DEX = retail firmware vs Debug firmware, for ease of use I recommend CEX, no need to convert your console to DEX now we have 4.30/4.31 cfw's, but I am sure others have other opinions.

Okay thanks! I guess I go for Rebug then! I liked the options in rebug 3.55 :D

Edit: hehe rogero 4.30 running fine :D decided that i dont really need the rebug extra options
