I am having trouble with my ps3. I was on CFW 3.55 and I tried to install CFW4.30 today. The mistake I made is that I forgot to eject the game disk (sports champions came with the ps3 when I bought it 2yrs ago). the ps3 still boot up and when I check the system version, it showed 4.3.1 at this time. Is there any easy fix for it? Any advice is appreciated.

the firmware on the disc is probably older then 3,55, so i don't see a problem, or did you downgrade below 3.55 now.

then why it shows 4.31 in the system information? what do you think I can do now? thanks.

because its cfw 4:30 spoofed to 4:31

can u still play backed up games and use homebrew ?

if not then you have upgraded your firmware "online" and not from usb........ YOU made the wrong selection when upgrading

If you can run homebrew etc you are fine, it not you are fubar'd

Still unsure why you need to ask as doing this is simpler than knowing how to poo????
