1) It worked after fixing BluRay 2) You added E3 and it DIDN'T work. 3) You removed E3, same problem. 4) Now you're stuck. Three things may have happed then in my mind: 1) You have not put it back together properly. 2) In connecting the E3 you've f-ed something. 3) In connecting the E3 you shorted the supply and blew a fuse (i.e. caused a secondary fault). What to do: for 1) Check everything. Easy. for 3) Power up and check for 3V3 at flash device. Easy. for 2) Hmmm. Check solder connections and solder bridging on legs / wherever E3 was connected to. Not so easy. My money is on 3): Check short between legs of flash chip using an ohmmeter. Check legs of flash chip connected to motherboard by gently pushing each leg. Andy |

You may have loosened the cracked solder under the GPU.
When you took the motherboard from the heat sinks, was it stuck and hard to get apart? I have had that happen before, when someone has changed the thermal compound before. Or even if the compound is dried and globbed, it won't make a flush connection with the heat sinks. This will cause YLOD. The slims YLOD is power on, then shut off to no light. Just throwing out some more ideas for you. Good luck.

they really need a close high res pica of the nor itself, it wouldn't be the first with damaged legs because to much pressure was applied. |
