PS3 FAT Power after 10 seconds of plug in the power cable
Hello i create a thread in other section for this ps3, but now the problem is hardware, accidentally one ball of pond is attached to this part of mb:
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/9...pointsprog.jpg the ps3 present this problem... i remove the pond and test with multimeter, now is ok... but the console don't start, after 15 seconds is power the red light, press, and start for 10 seconds and YLOD and poweroff, the problem isn't CPU/GPU, i don't know, i've tested many fuses and thermistor but is ok, i tried to test other component but i don't know the original value! i read this: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Protection but i can't find the component in motherboard! i've found only fuses and thermistor! also it's not clear what the traces are that he did short. btw, it's the ic that controls the power, 3,3V and 5V |

in the pic is The component 707071? now i search a datasheet for this component and test de pinout of 3.3v and 5v, is right?
EDIT: i haven't found the datasheet but with ps3 in stand by, with multimeter, put a gnd in a random gnd point (copper of mobo) and the positive with needle in all pin of component 707071 89K one for time, and max voltage is 0,4 V Last edited by imyourpapi; 02-23-2013 at 05:54 PM. |

well i still don't understand where the solder was.... did it shorted all these points in the red marker?

Why not remove and replace rather than f'in around
I feel the giggling pin may have fell out of the laughing shaft while the CPU protection diode was told not to protect CPU because of this solder bridging the information line of the RSX Don't know how mr.dutch feels |
