Hi guys, I have a Jailbroken PS3 with Rogero 4.30 CFW, don't know what version though. When I turned it on today there was no image and controller recognition at all (the console was working just fine a couple of days ago).
The observation list that I made is:
1- PS3 turns on, eject works fine. But to turn it off I have to press the power button for 10 secs. Turning on by the controller doesn't works either.
2- The controllers are not recognized by the PS3. I have two, synced with the console, and none of them works. USB connection does no good.
3- No image at all.
4- Recovery menu don't work. I hear all the correct beeps, and it looks like i'm in the menu(like, it is there but with no image) but when i connect the joypad on PS3 it isn't reconized.
4-USB works fine. Controllers charging normally, and my external HDD led turns on.
5 - No YLOD
So, if you guys could help a tormented soul, by giving any hints or ways to solve it would be very much appreciated , Sorry for the bad english XD

My guess, Bad RSX - Needs reflow.
Or GLOD?

It's definitely a GLOD/Green Light of Death. Get it reballed.

Hmm possible hard-drive failure do you have another one to test, turned on ps3 yesterday after putting new thermal compound on my chipset forgot the hdd and for a minute i thought i had brought upon destruction to my ps3 but after a minute i realized how retarded i am and popped in hdd problem went away... anyway glod could be hdd problem

In my experience the GLOD, it is more likely due to hdd or a brick (corrupted data in NOR), may also occur in case of necessity of the reball southbridge, usually if you need to reballed the RSX, the symptom is YLOD.

That is not correct.

The OP's problem is GLOD, caused from the RSX chip needing a reball. I have seen a lot of these. And if the controller does not sync and you hear the beeps trying to enter recovery, it is cracked solder under the GPU.

I really respect your opinion, but I assure you that many times I had with ps3 GLOD derived from attempts to flash the NOR or due to a corrupt or damaged hdd, I'm not inventing this

Usually in that case the controller will sync, and/or when trying to enter recovery, you will not get the correct beeps. It will just beep once, and shut down, then hold power again, and it will do the same, instead of the double beep.
