@aldostools How to use "Update Account ID and copy PARAMS"? I have checked this option.

I have tried clicking "open template.sfo". I added "Mod" in details field and saved the "template.sfo". Now when I select the save, and select "Update Account ID and copy PARAMS" There is no change in Details field of the save.

I can't seem to get it working.

Thanks Aldo!!

To copy the details field from a template.sfo, click on "Patch SFO" button, and select "Copy DETAILS parameter".

The build 3.4 now asks if you want to update the PARAM.PFD after the changes to the PARAM.SFO.

If you need it applied by default, right click on the top list, select "Settings" > "Rebuild Options" > "Copy DETAILS parameter from template.sfo".

Remember to always use "Verify PFD" to check your save before copy it to the PS3.

I tried several times it seems not working.

These are steps I did.

1. "open template.sfo" and I edited the "Save Data Detail:" Field. Added "MOD"
2. I select "Settings" > "Rebuild Options" > "Copy DETAILS parameter from template.sfo".
3. I selected a save.
4. I select "Rebulid with current Profile (Partial)"

The Detail Field of the selected save did not change.

Will it be possible to make it simpler.

Instead of modifing the "open template.sfo", you could add option in settings "Set Custom Text for Detail parameter". When users click it, box will appear. Users will key in the text. It could be saved in Registry (Like all your current settings)

Rename "Copy DETAILS parameter from template.sfo" -> "Add Custom Text to Detail parameter"
Rename "Copy DETAILS parameter" -> "Add Custom Text to Detail parameter"

So when users perform "Rebulid with current Profile (Partial)/(Full)" or Manual "Add Custom Detail Text to DETAILS parameter" BSD will add (Not overwrite) the custom text to the end of Details Field.

---------

I also notice another bug. Pervious I did not had this problem.

I selected my personal save which is [BLANK]. When I Set PARAM.SFO for Profile X. and name it as XXX, all my saves are saves are XXX [BLANK]. than I selected a save that has profile values (not blank), now when I select "Rebulid with current Profile (Partial)", It should change to XXX [BLANK]. But It remains with the current values, it did not change to XXX [BLANK].

Thanks Aldo!!

one thing u have to remember is that CFW users could experience different aspects on what works and what does not work..

OFW users will always have the same results ..

If only some elite user/s could share detail information, more users could benefit. Be it CFW users or OFW users.

If only the day could come.

The bug about copy fields (PARAMS, DETAILS, TITLE/SUBTITLE, SUBDIRECTORY) was fixed in the build 3.4.1

The option "Set Custom Text for Detail parameter" is not necessary. The option "Edit PARAM.SFO" already lets you edit all the fields that you need, add new fields, delete existing fields, etc. Just double click on the PARAM.SFO or use Patch SFO > Edit PARAM.SFO option.

I know that you want some automated branding feature... maybe I will add it later.

The other bug I couldn't reproduce it with this version. Maybe I need some of your files for test.

Just tried 3.4.1. The both bug is now fixed!!

Just a minor issue. When resigning, BSD actually replace the entire text of detail field.

If Original was

Code:
Detail: Timed Played: 10:00
After resigning

It should be

Code:
Detail: Timed Played: 10:00 XXXXXXXX
You should place a small easter egg in your app. When users mouse over/click the heading text "Bruteforce Save Data" it will change to "Game Saves Manager"

Thanks for the rapid plethora of fixes!!

There is not issue there... the function says "Copy DETAILS parameter" (it copies the entire value from template.sfo to PARAM.SFO)

It doesn't say "Add" or "Append" text to DETAILS parameter.

I'll try to add the "branding" feature later... meanwhile use the Edit PARAM.SFO

EDIT:
@gingerbread
The build 3.4.2 now includes the "branding" feature... Right click > Settings > Rebuild Options > Add Custom Text to DETAIL parameter

BTW slide the mouse over the Bruteforce Save Data and see what happens
