I don't think this is a legit unbiased review anyway. Smacks of promotion under the guise of a review, at least that's how it seems to me.

Its not coming from Cobra, it comes from a team that works on Xbox 360 ODE devices.

It's not a Tutorial or Guide it's a Review which covers all of the aspects of the product from unpackaging, installing and usage along with some extra content to help new comers to the scene understand the device along with a traditional closing containing my overall impression and opinion of the device.

If you would like check out iso420.org using the Way Back Machine and you will see most of the reviews follow the same format. I believe Gregory was overstating the contents of the Review as I assume it could be used to help people who purchase it to understand how to operate it, but that is not why I wrote it.

The device is produced by the same Team who brought the XK3Y to the 360 and the WODE to the Nintendo Wii.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I appreciate that people have taken the time read the review as it's my first in quite some time. I know the file is rather large, but as it has to stay impartial I cannot post the review in a forum post or on a host that I do not personally own due to obvious security concerns. I currently do not have my own host nor domain. I also do not do any sort of video reviews as I do not have a suitable studio to produce one with.

Thanks.

Why have a fat PS3 on CFW when you could have a super slim on OFW and still be able to pirate your games and use PSN.
That's exactly one of the reasons why I don't hate this device as much as the DRM dongles.

downloaded it in sec. requires cfw...so how are we going to cfw 3k and 4k? Personally I don't have a use for this. I'd rather stick with cfw than buy this. If it can support 3k and 4k, then I'm sold.

I thought these odde supports already 3k and 4k...

That's the exact impression I got too. A bit too overly enthusiastic. The summary is -
-you need a ps3 with cfw already on it
-you lose all homebrew ability
-you have to delete everything off your hard drive and format it so Sony doesn't see anything fishy
-you have to be technically able enough to open up your ps3 and operate on it
-if Sony figures out a way to block the device and updates firmware, you are stuck on a newer official firmware with no way to downgrade

And the only real positive is the ability to play online and use psn

I guess if you're a huge online fan then this might be alright. Other than that, no thanks.

Once you update to higher OFW, you can't go back (Only via hardware flasher, Which is another $$). Why do you want put yourself in that situation. Trust me, it is not fun.
