I don't believe that article is completely accurate in its views. OK engadget already had an article I believe you posted about building a PC right now that is already more powerful than the PS4. PCs will always be more powerful with consoles catching up but what most people dont understand that with a console you may lose far superior graphics but you gain a prolonged life cycle. With me being a PC gamer I estimate I will need upgrades every 2 years while console owners have at least 5 years of good solid use. Sure the games may not look as good as PC counterparts, but you also save more money in the long run.

Look at Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 on Ultra using a good computer. It looked just as good if not better than that killzone video (or any other video for that matter) and those are avail;able on PS3 and 360 right now.

PS4 is a current gamers economy PC. Don't expect it to be more powerful than a PC but it will be a good source of entertainment and cheaper in the long run (hardware wise). My pc next week will already be more powerful than a PS4. ATI 7970, 16 gig of ram, AMD FX 6300 CPU, but I also have to run an OS, services, processes, and a lot more things that are also needing my processing power, as opposed to a console which is only running a small OS and video game. As someone in either this thread or another mentioned look at the nvidia titan. Imagine SLI with a couple of those. I am really thinking about Crossifiring 2 7970s. No way PS4 is beating that.

instead of comparing pc/console, think of them as seperate classes (which they are to the intelligent person)

e.g
mobile phones = Flyweight
handheld = featherweight
console = middleweight
pc = heavyweight

now why would you cross compare things from other classes?

The new architecture of the PS4 is good, it will offer more developer possibilites and makes everything easier to develop for the PS4.
