Help on JB my new PS3 system please... Thank You.
Hi there all expertise.. First and foremost, I would like to apologize if this thread had been created by anyone else before. But I'm really a noob to PS3. I just bought my PS3 SLIM 1 week ago. I am totally noob in PS3 system. I am owning an original copy of FIFA 13 game and a brand new PS3 original system with a registered PSN account. I updated my PS3 fw and it's running on a original 4.31. The main reason I bought this PS3 system is for me to play online FIFA13. I would also like to play some other games if I should jailbreak my PS3 (if necessary). I would like to ask a few questions and guides on how to do it. Your kindness and generosity of help is really much appreciated. I'm very thankful to everyone who is willing to lend a word or advise to me, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Below are my questions:
1) I'm still thinking should I jailbreak my PS3 ?? 2) If yes, which jb cfw should I use and where to download it ?? 3) Guide to apply the jailbreak and steps.. 4) Will I still be able to play online with my Original FIFA 13 ?? 5) Will the games I downloaded from Internet could be play online after jb ?? 6) I found this website ps3-cfw. Is this website useful or recommended to follow ?? Thank you everybody !! |

I was wondering why half of the people around the world said jailbreak does not work on my model CECH-3006A

If it did exist, it would be all over this site.
There are people who claim to have done it (like the site u mentioned). But none of them have been able to prove anything. The keys required for a CFW above 3.55 have not been found or leaked. You the ps3 must be on 3.55 or lower, which we can downgrade with a hardware flasher. Except in your case, you can't downgrade to a FW version lower than ur ps3 shipped with. Hence why none of the 3XXX or 4XXX (super slims) cannot be downgraded or jailbroken. |

Sorry for my stupidness... Thank you Vicious... But I still don't really understand.. Hehe..
Oh yeah.. I remembered when I bought it back it was came with version 3.++(forgotten sorry)... then only I updated it myself to 4.31 now... |

look for the file "Minverch" through it you can find out which firmware lower mount your ps3, if greater than 3:55 can not do the downgrade, this will take away all doubt. |

The OP already stated the model #. 3k series are not hackable period.
