ok, i have ps3 ofw 4.11 cechj 2 usb ports
i also have e3 flasher, e3 card reader & micro sd card 8gb, also usb 8gb and true blue dongle, all formated in fat 32

i followed instructions in this tutorial: E3 FLASHER DOWNGRADE TUTORIAL - INSTALLATION FAT (Khalkedon) - YouTube

(i used samsung update.bin to update e3 flasher)

and it didn't work. i keep getting connect your joystick with usb cable and press ps button.

i finished the tutorial with e3 card reader as dwngrd dog and i got into fsm and out of fsm and it didn't work. it failed to install cfw

so i connected joy with cable in an attempt to downgrade my ps3 with true blue dongle, which doesn't work (tb is not a dwngrd dog)

then i realised my mistake and tryed to update fw to 4.31 ofw in an attempt to dwngrd ps3 from 4.31 ofw, but ps3 then displayed 8002f157 error

whick i googled and tryed to fix with this thread: ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=32523

which didn't work (fail step 6) and in my e3flasher log file i get 2 kind of messages, 10001100 - fail to initialize ps3 bios and e3-downgrade.bin is still on sd card
and second error is 01001000 fail to open tf card

i recliped pad onto nor chip a lot of times and still the same, i put a coin and some foam on top of the pad to keep pressure over pad i also cleaned everything with 70% alcohol

when i turn ps3 on i have no signal over hdmi on my lcd. blank screen. but ps3 works normally. no xmb though

i tried to get into fsm with ps3 on/eject combo, no results

my q are:

1. in youtube tutorial that guy doesn't use nor patcher, do i need to use it? it gives false positive results so i didn't used it at all

2. is there a way to reset ps3 on default setting?

3. can i see somewhere where am i and what did i do exactly to cause this?

4. did i brick my ps3?

i've been reading and trying everything for almost a week now with same results and i'm really frustrated with everything but i keep positive attitude becouse i know some of the guys here on this forum really know the stuff and i'm in dire need of your assistance guys! thank you in advance

hi, i have a problem i ****ed up something during my downgrade process and now my ps3 has no video or audio output (tried reseting v&a setting with holding the power button but it powers up and then powers down with no change to output, both hdmi & scart).
which ever action i undertake with my e3 flasher it's no good, i just get 10001100 error - fail to init 3 nor, i reclipped nor pad more than 40 times with no luck. i would like to know what to do next, how can i diagnose whats wrong or know for sure if i bricked it? please help. thanks

my first nor dump is valid and i checked it with flow rebuilder and hxd. i can upload it for you people.

ok i managed to brick it, i think. i sanded down the e3 nor clip even more than the first time. taped the **** out of it on the motherboard, put the coin on it and then the foam. assembled ps3 and turn it on, green light flashes for a sec then red with green light for a fraction od second, then 3 consecutive beeps and it shuts down afterwards red light blinks.

is this a brick or what?

as for the downgrading stuff i cant help you. but for the video problem you might have to hook up the rca plugs to change the setting to hdmi. also i think to reset the video you can hold the power button while its off and wait for the beeps then it should be reset. i had a problem and almost bricked my ps3 cuz the hdmi cuts out during update and i thought it was done and walked over and hit the power button. safer to use rca plugs when messing with it i think. this is a good place there is some people who know a lot about downgrading

I'm going to assume at this point that you have your original dump, and have checked it to make sure it's a clean dump.

Have you tried flashing your original dump back to your PS3 and starting over? If you can't do that, then something is fkt.

Reset AV output by holding the power button. It'll beep once to let you know it's powering up the console, and after a few seconds you'll get 2 consecutive beeps. Release the power button and your PS3 will automatically detect the type of output you have connected.

yes i have it, yes it is a clean dump. ,)

how can i flash my original dump back?

i don't get 2 consecutive beep. i hold it, 1 beep-power up, than another just before shuting down

My mistake, just the one beep not 2 consecutive. I was thinking of the Recovery Menu. Haven't touched my PS3 in a year or so.
