Is playing a purchased game online on a cfw ps3 safe to do? Will I be risking my psn account/ online access?

It doesn't matter if the game was bought or not.

yep, going online there is always that risk of getting caught and banned.

dang alright thanks for the responses. Maybe once sony is concentrating on their ps4 they will be less mindful of the cfw scene on the ps3. They don't seem to care about psp anymore.

Yet, that's why 100,000 psp's sell a week? Sony knows people love the psp for homebrew, they don't care

Well, I for one have avoided using homebrew while signed in. Deleted my history after every use of homebrew(and made it read-only). Nothings happened to me for 3 months. These are acouple of steps I take to help alittle. But it's still a risk you take, who knows I might get console banned tomorrow..

how do you delete your homebrew history? Just your ps3 webbrowser history?

If I have a hacked psp, could I potentially get psn games compatible with ps3 using it, then play these games on ps3?

It doesn't matter how much you try to conceal what you're doing, they will eventually get you banned. You can do nothing but play all your original purchased games without ever launching a homebrew app and you'll still get banned just for having cfw.

It wasn't like this before, but with the idiots playing BO2 way before it's release and the constant use of unbans through stealing console ID's threw Sony over the edge and ban anyone with cfw...It's just a matter of when than a matter of IF.

Exactly. And they know their PS3 fanbase is full of 30-40 year olds who only care about keeping people from cheating in COD lobbies. The other half is that they depend on making making money from PSN and they can't do that if people are installing free DLC and games as well as playing PSx and PS2 games for free.
