Seems I got the Euro and the Pound mixed up. Oops.

Euro current exchange rate is 1.50. That would make it $300 U.S. dollars for the PS3. Which is still cheaper than what they are going for.

Supply and demand. You cannot go the the store and buy one of these anymore. And the demand is rising. Trust me the demand is high. I have 6 in my living room right now, that I need to downgrade for people today.
I get 3 or 4 a day. All these older models are on higher firmwares. And everyone wants to be on CFW.

Either way, my point still stands. That the OP should be able to put whatever price they want on their item. There is no reason there should be all these replies about the price.
If you can't afford the price, go find a broken one. Fix it, downgrade/jailbreak it yourself.

I would suggest you put it on ebay, for a buy it now at your original price. You will sell it at the price you want, without being harassed.

Iv been looking at getting a console for a whilst after looking around i ended up paying £175 for a 250 gig slim on 3.55 OFW so i dont think the price being asked is far from what its worth! Mine also had a replacement bluray fitted but as i did not need one this wasnt a big deal for me!

CFW PS3s go for **** loads on ebay.

Just sucks about their 10% admin charge.
