I'm pretty sure the USB.CFG file should look like this:
0x13fd:0x1240:1 0x04e8:0x1f08:v with the line in bold being the details from the Parent section of the details. You still need the first line in there |

Help
I've managed to get my usb stick formated in ntfs to work, but my hard drive doesn't want to. I can't understand what the problem is. Maybe size matters? Maybe the external encloser? Maybe the formating utility? Any ideas?

I have not been able to get my 200GB external drive working using these same instructions for about a week now. I decided to try my thumb drive and it worked. I thought I would test adding the non-working external drive along with the working thumb drive so I added it to the USB.CFG - first adding it to line 3 and then on line 2. With the bum drive added to line, I got the same result - the good thumb drive worked and the bad one did not show up. When I had the bum drive on line two and the good one on line three, multiMAN would freeze my PS3. I will have fix this with another homebrew FTP. I should note that every time I changed my USB.CFG, I restarted multiMAN.
In the end, I suspect there are some external drives that simply will not work. Further, I do not think the USB.CFG was meant to have more than the original first line and the additional drive. I think I am going to try fat32format (http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/ind...at32format.htm). As I understand it, it keeps a FAT32 format but allows for larger partitions and larger than 4GB files. Worked well back in the Windows XP days. Hopefully it will now. Anybody else give this a go? |

I have a 500gb with one partition it looks like this: 0X067b:0X3507:1 anything I'm missing? Thanks in advance! DS ________________________ Edit: Got it to work.. I changed the drive enclosure!!

Works for me. You can't play from NTFS HD but you can back up your games from it. Make sure you make a GAMES folder and put the games in there.

UPDATE & Solution: For XP users you go to 'DEVICE Manager' and then go to 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' and click on 'USB Mass Storage Device' and then go to details, it will show instantly without you having to scroll down the list. Last edited by Grasshopper; 08-20-2012 at 12:10 PM. |

"The last bit after 0x0000:x0000:X Where X is the volume number "
I think is 0x0000:0x0000:X |
