well why dont you do me favour an tell us how you magically did it then ? as it depends what make your drive is aswell, And how can it be miss info if im describing my experience, try not to be rude to those who are contributing to a thread even if that info may be or not be acurate

Also your links are unhelpfull an miss informative to someone like me who's drive is Western Digital an use's a Mac
Try to cater for everyone's needs and not asume everyone use's windows..

Yeah I looked at the thread link he posted with the seagate trouble shooting pages, but my drive is Western Digital an I run a Mac so it wernt helpfull

It is not magic, dont be mad you cant help yourself get your ext hd to work correctly.

many non seagate users have used this info to accomplish their goals.

How am a SPREADING miss information when my original post was what id experienced. If I was SPREADING as you say I would be posting it all over the place...........tard

you clearly say "2tb is to big" and it is not, this is the mis info you are spreading.

@Daveyshambles , If you read this whole thread I've been trying to explain/prove (+images) it can be done. I believe this would've negated your first post. It's not magic. xD

You need a power adapter w/ your enclosure, the USB on the PS3 will not provide enough power/amps. Your enclosure maybe your problem. This is what I have tested and works on PS3 for those whom may be interested. Seagate Backup Plus Model: STCA400100 4TB. In any case good luck gber911, dunno what else to tell ya.
