It's really easy and is recommended, you moved from 3.41 to 3.55 because 3.41 is not supported anymore, well, 3.55 is about to not get supported anymore!

First of all, you need to enable QA before upgrading to 4.30. Then update multiMAN to the latest version and use it to make a NOR/Nand dump (in case things go south). Then remove any original game disk from your drive and install Rebug 4.30.1 or Rogero 4.30 v2.05 from XMB. Both can be installed directly from XMB even if your console has been HW downgraded and not dehashed, but I recommend Rebug 4.30.1.

Keep in mind that if you ever patched eboots/updates to run your games on 3.41/3.55, you need to restore your original unpatched files/updates.

I loved 3.55 personally however it does appear that support might be dropped in the near future for 3.55 by some, like DeanK for example, so no Multiman updates etc for 3.55. That is unless he's changed his mind again.

Dude if you wanna stay on 3.55 then thats your choice, dont let others bully you on to 4.31. Its not hard to find patches for games, hell you can even make your own with '' dark e-boot fixer '' you've probably put a old kmeaw 3.55 on your machine, ive got loads of 3.55 stuff including a decent copy of kmeaw with lv2 peek an poke syscals built in, if you want it let me know by pm an i'll link it to you.

Noone is bullying, charlie said it perfect. It's a piece of piss to do and then he wont have these problems anymore. There is no point on being on 3.55, it is out of date. It's not as if you can't return anyway should you wish.

At the end of the day, proper research really needs to be done by the OP pertaining to the pros and cons of updating to any new CFW. You may gain a few things by updating albeit temporarily, but you will also lose the ability to do other things by updating. The only person who can decide what is best is YOU and you really need to research it to make an informed decision.
