No I haven't. But I do have Multiman, Iris, and a few emulators installed which is why I'm banned.

I received this email around 7pm Last night, but I was still able play GTA last night till around 11 or 12pm and access netflix till around 2am this morning. I haven't tried it since then, but is there a delay in the console ban?

Did anybody else get their banned message in straight up French?

When they emailed me, the email was in 100% French. I have absolutely no idea what it said (didn't bother trying to translate it).

Having said that, I'm not sure if I was console banned or account banned. I have tried using my account to connect and it says access to the SEN has been terminated or whatever, but doesn't say anything about a console ban?

Set up a new account on PSN via your pc, then try logging in with the new account on your PS3, you will soon see if its a console ban

I suppose you could try setting up a new account on the PS3, if it lets you then your not console banned.

Hadn't even thought of it until you mentioned so. I don't even recall what the message was other than the words "access to the Sony Entertainment Network..... banned....." or something. And since the message I got was in French I just assumed the worst.

I haven't gotten any alpha-numeric error's though...

As a mater of interest, has anyone telephoned PSN and pretended that they have just purchased a second hand PS3 from Ebay to find that it would not connect.??
I would be interested as to their (PSN's) suggestions in this instance.

I saw on Tut on this and wondered the same thing. The tutorial said you need a fake bill of sale.
ex. make a ebay listing and pay yourself $0.99

Suppose it wouldnt be much help in the long run, as if you continued to use PSN on CFW it would be banned again anyway, but it might those who want to go legit.

Would Sony be able to tell if I'm on cfw and use a hard drive that doesn't have the install package files, multiman or any modded software? Would the risk of ban be less by doing this?

If you didn't have ipf, multiMan or modded software Sony wouldn't detect cfw, because you would be on ofw.
