Interesting read. I'm still not sold on the entire PS4 experience, but then again I have yet to see all it has to offer. Hopefully E3 will provide some concrete info on cloud gaming and their new ecosystem.

It is not about they can't. It is about, they won't. If you read my concept, it is clearly possible.

What do you mean? It would be made by sony. It would be a official sony device.

Sites & People are calming that emulating cell is near impossible via software, hence sony is using streaming. This statement is just ridiculous and clearly shows folks fail to look at the big picture and other possibility. My ideology is people/companies should not tell you how you should play your games.

With Streaming :
1. You don't own a copy of the game. // Means fail and bad practice in my book.
2. Possibility of cheat/mod goes out the window.

Look at console in past generation. Of course they are not the prettiest. The Key word is Expandability

Everything can't be done via software. If additional hardware is needed for compatibility, sony should/must give us or at least provide us a payable option via expansion.

And retails?. I don't bought anything on PSN. I like my **** on a box, not on some cloud.
Thanks to sony i cannot even install my own retail games because they are too ****ed up allow that.

Only reason that PS3 got so far is for blu-ray and MGS.
Look MS and Xb0x360 how many years with the same hardware and using DVD's?.
It's the only logical explanation that i found so far.

@gingerbread Agree.
You don't own what you buy, this is not 8bits era. All is too damn digital, ephimeral non tangible.
I wonder what's next? the cloud inserted on our brain cells.

Must give Sony executives and decision makers the SAW treatment for bad practices. Haha!

Yeap! The game industry has just become messed up over the years.

Look at the movie industry. The concept and model has not been changed since 1900 (Since the invention of sound and video). Filmmaker/Production companies make a movie. They release it in the cinema. Over time it is available for home market. Now it available via streaming (Netflix and Hulu and so on..) Yet the physical media of the digital content is still be available.

Well that brain thing you mention could be almost be available in distant future. At the moment there is

Code:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1523379957/oculus-rift-step-into-the-game
Imagine, one day, the entire head set is the console it self. Every single data is pull down from the cloud. Very messed up.

Honestly backwards compatibility is highly overrated. People just need to stop *****ing about it. Chances are if you're so "hardcore" about it, you own the original hardware anyhow. Then you complain the new hardware is expensive. Well guess what, R&D cost money to satisfy your OCD backwards compatibility emulation nerd rage.

In theory yeah its all great but most people don't even bother to play old stuff with a new system.
