Running GAMES without BD-DRIVE, BDEMU?

Hello all - my first post !

I have this same problem as 'calhau0' (t=40630) with my PS3.
FW: ROGERO 4.31 v2.03 + MultiMan 04.20.00

Games included on the internal drive via FTP and external drive, but dont have a physical BD-ROM drive - I have only an electronic board. I checked every game in the "GAME SETTINGS" uncheck all option. Also start with BDMirror - the same effect. When I select the game in MultiMAN brings me to the XMB. "/ app_home/PS3_GAME /" shows the game - run it, game starts up for the first logo and kick me to the XMB.

My blue LED lights all the time. I borrowed from a friend bd-drive and connected to my console - black screen when i would run to MultiMAN. The console without any bd-drive has the same effect. I run all the games, when swapped electric plate in his bd-drive to my. Either way, with the electrical system or be full-device and dont show my logo disc in the XMB menu.

How to start the game on the same electronics connected to the power supply and motherboard PS3 (without the laser mechanisms) ??
Blue LED should go off? Give false information to console?

i thought so too, but some people here are using only the logic board connected to the ps3, and their blue led is also on.

you are telling that you used your logic board on a friends bd drive, put it in your console and it runs fine?

did you tried to hit the eject button to see if you would be able to boot the games?

what is your ps3 model?

@Kaczus , what happened to your own drive (mechanical part), since you only have the logic board.

i tested myself if only a logic board would work, and it did, i could start games from app/home.

so only the logic board with the 4pins power cable and the big ribbon cable connected should work.

btw, the blue led is on, but this dousnt seem to be a problem.

I bought the console without the drive.

When I click eject the disc blue LED blinks off for a moment and lit up again. And when I click eject when I load the game, I immediately crashes to the XMB.

What to do, how to do it?

there's no explanation why you return to xmb.

only if you had a complete drive and it had a specific problem then you would return to the xmb while booting a game, but you only have the logic board.

you can fool the ps3 that you have a empty drive and the blue led will be off then, but you have to solder 2 wires to the logic board, and you need some skills to do this.....

or you buy a broken cheap drive.

if you have the BDM-001 or BDM-002 board you can follow this trick.

EDIT: pic removed, see picture in post 10.

this will pull the disc in and disc chuck lines high to 3,3V.

the 2 blue lines are the wires you need to solder.
this is not quaranteed to work, but it should tell the ps3 that the drive is empty.

send me you email adress in pm.

look at this pic, maybe it makes more sense, one wire to connect the two pins.

like i said before, maybe it won't help, because for us a single board works, we don't have to solder wires.
but in my opinion this should get the blue led off.
