"Following the release of system software version 4.30, the Folding
@hom
e PS3 client and all other services under Life with PlayStation were retired on November 6, 2012.[1][7] Life with PlayStation was then removed from the XrossMediaBar for new users."
And this part related to account id (i did not knew): "PlayStation Network Game Trailers Channel For users in the United States, the PSN game trailers channel allows direct access to the streaming of the PlayStation Store's game trailers. It also has the ability to purchase titles from the store, without having to leave Life." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_with_PlayStation I read somewhere else than it ll still continue to work for people who has it installed, |

For the record... some news related with .sfo:
XMB game column ordering by using ITEM_PRIORITY Used for first time in a homebrew (installPKG_FUSS) ps*crunch.net/forum/threads/5895?p=63807&viewfull=1#post63807 PS3-PSvita CROSSPLAY Used for first time in a game (little big planet update) ps*news.com/psp-ps-vita-news/video-littlebigplanet-2-ps-vita-cross-controller-pack-out-today/ XMB Bubbles preinstalls Proyect database (.pdb) structure notes in GamePKG v1.0 http://www.ps3hax.net/2012/12/releas...-captaincps-x/ ps*news.com/ps3-hacks-jailbreak/gamepkg-v1-0-ps3-app-by-captaincps-x-with-source-code-out/ *EDIT: I still refuse to believe .pdb files are named "proyect database", i know ps3devwiki has a page with this name for them, but the name never was verifyed Instead, i think the correct name is "Preinstall DataBase" Last edited by sandungas; 12-22-2012 at 11:59 AM. |

The idea of creating this app was to help people to understand how .sfo works, and to have a "simple app" to make all tests over it to share experiments
But nobody was interested in it (other than ada and me in the first days when i made the collection of .sfo's for the app), and the bug related with "xmb in-game" that has been present from day 1 made it "not usable" for what was intended So dont worry, for ada and me is too late, and i saw no interest from other users The only interest is for wiki to update all info related with the app, but i dont have intention of making another collection of .sfo's for it |

Little infos for our still secret and unknown attributes,
i notice for the flag N21 (00 10 00 00) with HG game, the XMb turn to treat it as software: e.g.: when trying to launch music or picture (something like this is not available with this Title SFO, you must quit this software ...), or " QUIT "only ( instead of "QUIT this Game"). And text license is also hidden (about this Game). So it seems this 3 bytes is also related to Software feature and not only for game category. For the SFO tool, i used it a lot for category/structure/PKG etc... and i like it a lot but when it s about specific XMB in game, it might be better to stick to official game. |

I don't know if anyone here are still looking at PARAM.SFO, but I have been playing around with them to enable Remote Play for PS Vita.
So various games like PSN Mass Effect, were I first used the Vita 480p option, the SFO didnt take, so I did the rebuild database. After I was able to run the game, but it froze, so I redid it with the "PSP" remote play option, the AVC and M4v on separate occasions. It worked perfectly. So I figured that those options is what I should be using. But stupid me already changed the settings of all my SFO for my HDD games to the 480p option. So one by one, I changed them back. Some worked and some didn't. So I wasn't too bummed out, but I have seen someone got Sonic Generations to run. Go to check my SFO, and it was running the 480p option. So I thought it was like Mass Effect. Changed it but it reverted, did the refresh XMB thing, it didnt take. So I even modified the title of the game so I know it was using the new SFO, and ran the game, press the PS button and hit that "Quit Sonic Generations" option twice. And look at what I found out, despite having a new SFO, it didn't replace the SFO with its "Backup" because it still had the new title, but the 480p option. SO long story short. My PS3 is reverting the Remote Play setting to 480p, despite registering any new information I put in (Change the APP Version, Title, FW required) on the SFO, but I was wondering if I could wipe out the "back up" or insure it takes all the settings? Sorry if this is not something you are not interested in. |

Everything related with SFO is interesting in this thread
![]() But being honest i dont understand your question, are you sure this game doesnt has updates installed ? (because when booting the game, the files from the installed update are used, included a new .sfo) Edit: btw, if you have some rare behaviour with this flags, or some list with bugs in games you can write here, it can be useful to imagine where the problems are (actually, there is not much info of the real problem, that is related with thread load, and thread priority devouring cpu resources) Last edited by sandungas; 02-14-2013 at 08:25 PM. |

Thank you for taking the time to put this thread together, one of the best around for sure .
But i do have a question for you , if you edit a gamesave , but the gamesave is stored on online servers will the changes stick or go back to server setting's. I believe it goes back to the server settings , and i think sometimes a glitch lets it stick and server updates new settings . Am i right in saying this or am i wrong? my intention was to learn and attempt to edit a fifa 13 online pro gamesave to 100 completion , then find a glitch to get it to stick ( if it will stick ) Thanks Last edited by super hyper nova; 03-05-2013 at 03:30 PM. |

I just updated the info about ITEM_PRIORITY in wiki http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/PARAM.SFO#ITEM_PRIORITY
Here are some files to test http://www.sendspace.com/file/gtoilf There are 2 .SFO for the test app (positions 3 and 5) And a .SFO for multiman 4.18 that places the icon at position 4 (between 3 and 5, hehe) Because there is none homebrew using ITEM_PRIORITY (other that this singstar icon that appears in newer firmwares, and a tool deank made that replaces this singstar icon... and both uses ITEM_PRIORITY = 834)... there is easy to test just replacing the files i provide If somebody is interested in placing multiman in top of game column you can use my .SFO But note my file was made for multiman 4.18.... better change this number to match the real version Or adapt this values i used to the newer multiman versions This is just a simple tweak, and im sure deank knows how it works, so dont lost the time in suggesting him to use it because probably he was thinking in it and decided not to use it :P -------------------------------------------- @ super hyper nova I doubt the savegames sent to online servers are updated (mostly because is not efficient, so not a good idea) The PARAM.SFO and PARAM.PFD probably are checked (but not against a database of the correct values for this game.... it can be more a "standard" check) But not the other files, because the encription used to protect them is specific of the game developers (not sony) Last edited by sandungas; 03-09-2013 at 02:36 PM. |
