With cobra all PS3's can play a fair amount of PSP iso's.

You should read up on the cobra dongle, it has a lot of cool features.

There were other features like being able to play split files from external among others that I don't remember. So it wasn't just for playing backups. The PS3 has more capabilities. They happened to find them and lock them down with their dongle. This is actually pretty exciting. We're closer to having full functionality to our systems. I'll be eagerly awaiting the chance to wipe the dust off my PS3 now. The only thing on my wishlist outside of this is the 64 emulator.

i'll stick with the PCSX2 emulator, since it can bump the internal resolution of PS2 textures to 2048 and has supreme Anti Aliasing.

PSP emulator on the PS3 though? sign me up for that, that sounds fuc$%ng awesome. does the cobra do Sega Saturn emulation too? since the one for the PS3 currently doesn't work on 4.xx FW's and I can't find a good one for the PC...

I have all my PSP ISOs on my external already. I put them on way back when I first got it, waiting for the day to come when I could play them.
I did the same with my PS1 games, and I can play them now.

Hope we're not getting excited for nothing. But after Miralatijera pawned the 4.30 DEX firmware, I think they are the real deal.
