The only feature I'm really looking forward to that only Cobra has is being able to launch games across LAN. I just hate having to switch my external hdd from my PC to my PS3 every time I want to play a game haha

You don't need Cobra to do that, just convert to DEX..

If he did sign a NDA, would such a NDA actually hold up in court? After all the product is purely designed to pirate games. If such a case was brought before courts the only outcome I see is both parties being charged for piracy

I'm not a crazy conspiracy theorist, but I'm quite sure that Cobra is "owned" by similar peeps to the ones churning out fake flash media on ebay, which in turn is backed by organized crime, there's a lot of people involved and none of the people don't the actual work are making anything.

Yeah, this and other scenes are infected with criminals. I can almost understand why a homebrew dev might get intimidated into doing things that others might perceive as "selling out" when in fact they are only protecting themself from real or imagined dangers. I recall reading about death threats regarding cex->dex, etc., and if I were faced with that... I wouldn't cave in to their extortion, but I would probably disappear. When there's money to be made, scum sucking criminals will soon appear, the best defense against them is to not support them in any way. You can't make them go away any other way.


[edit] This is why I love "leakers" so much... they take the burden off regular hackers to release stuff safely.

I tried that once before on REX but I couldn't get the games to show up on the PS3 using prodg/target manager and mmDM. Maybe I'm retarded but I just stick to the CEX side now because that was the only DEX feature I cared about

it may be some trial&error at first, streaming games is another great way, i keep tring to load another lv2kernel using the "flag" and the 4.30dex/pp - lv2kernel.self, then it would work in the way of Rebug, the toolbox shows the "other" lv2kernels but wont load it and for the love of **** i can't get this "anotherlv2" flag to run, flash dex targetid norbin and load dex kernel...what are we missing..like that custom_boot_nor SELF? i'm sure its something spicey?? whatever it is..would be nice to know ..although not alot feeback on these CFW's....these Spanish cfw's is serious business..just a proper HOWTO pls
