you could try taking the board from that and see if it will marry to the problem phat.

with it being a known working board then this will help in finding the issue.
The drive is working, as it was working on Friday, in another phat I have, same model. I'm trying to remarry it to this model but so far with no luck.

I thought it could be a usb problem, bit it goes into FSM mode fine. Only other problem I had with this model that I couldn't update via the ubs's in recover, but I could from the xmb. Very strange indeed. I'll keep digging i guess.

To make matters worse, I had to go from rogero 4.30 2.05 and use the 4.25 to 3.55 downgrader pup which is what I'm in now, using FSM. So therefore all I can do is upgrade back. I can't go down and try and remarry in another 3.55 cfw or ofw as I can't run toggle QA as I don't have a bd logic board married to this mobo. Fun times!!

Hey baileyscream,

do you think if i try and do the dehash method in FSM twice with 3.55 and get back on OFW and then try the remarry process again I might have a shot? Couldn't hurt right?

I read the other thread you started. I don't know why you started another one, when you are getting help here. Because what you described in that thread, is one of the symptoms of your problem here.

When trying to install firmware from the recovery menu, it will stay on checking if you don't have a working blu ray logic board connected. It doesn't have to be married, but does have to be connected.

I think the problem is either bad ribbon, or bad logic board.
