Hello guys, my name is Joaquin, im from Argentina.. Sorry for my bad english, hope you can understand me, i know that in this forum there are people who can help me..
I have a PS3, CECH-2001A, with 4.20 firmware. Im trying to downgrade them with the three musketer patch, i read the NOR with teensy, all OK, i patch the dump and flashed in the console, all OK. When i turn on, to go to the recovery menu and install the CFW, after 20 seconds, the fan increases speed to max, and i get a green, next red, next green light with three bips, next a intermiteiting red light.. I think the dump patch is bad, but when i restore the original dump, i have the same problem.. The original dump is fine, i checked with HxD, norinspector (all green), and BwE only show me a warning in ECID (in the IRC tell me the dump is fine, its just a script error).
Any ideas ? I hope that not is a overheating problem, i made a mistake when i get and write the dumps with the teensy, i dont put the coler (please hit me in the face)..

Let me get this straight. You didn't install the Cooling FAN during flashing? Is the EMI Shield/Heatsink of the Cell side also not installed when you flashed?

Did you removed the heatsink during disassembly? if yes did you reapply thermal compound on the RSX and the CELL chip?

It looks to me like an overheating issue. Try reapplying thermal compound and reassemble

Thanks for your answer, i never unmounting the "EMI Shield/Heatsink" or the up motherboard cover, only the back motherboard cover, to view the test points.
I thought with the Heatsink was not going to need the fan during the read and write dump..

it's not easy to reply in a normal manner? ^ u realy sound like an 15 year old that just happen to be a little technical but thats it..hehehehe what...behehehehe..lol..what?...u clearly don't know what ur doing..send it to the Aussie....warning> the PS3 might have a little attitude when shipped back...

Sorry if i can explaind correclty my situaition, like i said, english is not my lenguaje, is harder for me explain, and if you laugh at me, its more harder.. If i sound like a tencical is for that reason, is the only way that i have for explain..
Maybe i never had to register in that forum..
Bwe, let me ask you only a single question, is there any possibility that this problem happened for another reason than overheating ?
