just updated from rebug 4.3x cfw to REX 4.30 cfw ...from xmb ... no worries ... everything working great... job done

I think you miss understand me. Will this work on a device that is a CEXtoDEX convert? Currently on 4.21 ITA DEX CFW and looking for an upgrade.

No, you have to switch back to CEX, update and convert back to DEX.

DEX is easily done on this just like 4.21.2 REX. I got the kernel working but luckily I kept my root key from 3.55 and didn't have to downgrade and used c2d to get it up and running. Now I have 100% compatibility using the BD-EMU and will not wear out my precious laser.

That is not a thing of this cfw, 4.21 rex and 3.55 rex have the same thing.
That is when you are using the dex side, cex side you can use your psunban.
I believe that the psid is at a different location on the dex side so te program has to be rewritten in order for it to work on dex.

That's what I was thinking. It's not the end of the world if need to convert to CEX to get unbanned, all you need to the CEX & DEX flash dumps (.NORBIN files) to go back and fourth (there is an option in Rebug Toolbox that allows you to do this).

I'd be thankful just for the ability to do that to be honest. I really, really miss PSN and not being able to race online with my steering wheel.
