I've had my PS3 for about 3 years now and have a massive game collection but have recently been considering jail breaking my PS3 to download DLC. I have done jailbreaking and homebrew on many consoles and phones but not ps3 so I am wondering what exactly are the cons to jailbreaking. After Doing research for the past couple of days there are still some questions I have that I cannot find the answers to. I still want to be able to play my disk based PS3 games online. Is this possible? or if I jailbreak am I stuck not being able to go on PSN without risk of being banned? Or is that just for backed up games? If I am still able to play my disk games will be using pkg dlc online be a risk of being banned? For example I recently bought gran turismo 5 and would like to install PKG's of the games DLC would I still be able to play on PSN? Sorry if I'm repeating myself I'm trying to be as clear as possible. I also see that REBUG 4.30.2 came out last night. If I decide to jailbreak, after downgrading to 3.55 would it be better to install rebug 4.30.2 or should I use 4.30 Rogero like everyone else seems to be using? I am also having a hard time finding out what DEX and CEX means it would be great if you could help me with what they are.Thanks for you're time its much appreciated.

There are always risks when playing online on cfw, even if you are playing from disc...best advice remove all homebrew from xmb...you can play Dlc you have Downloaded in pkg file online...rebug Rex 4.30 is a great choice to upgrade to...dex is debug ps3....cex is normal ps3 ....dex has loads of fancy options in xmb...that are little use to the end user if you only want to play new games stick with cex....hope this helps

I already do that. & Not had a decent shag in for a while this year which makes it even worse.
