Great Work Buddy.
So the NAND is powered by the ATX, can you make a clear picture where is point on the PS3 mobo that feeds the NAND with 3.3 V, for both.
is it one of the legs? (which i know about) or around it?

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I just have a lot of patience and use a lot of flux.

On the 1.2 R7 and R8 control pullups.

And yes I am powering both NANDs from just one of the 3.3v legs.

I emailed the link to my dump if anyone wants to double check it for me.

Thanks.

Thumbs up

u guys are pro cuse after messing around and finally managed to wire up the progskeet 1.2 on the board with ext atx supply, nothing burned so far thx again for the info's etc..

hope i can ask one final question, this was great expierence anyway and to get feeling it needs to be tested on ur own..woha i can't say easy then i would lie people doing this on scale+perm-installs..props to those

anyway, the Progskeet 1.2 is tested and loaded correct bitstream, detected when connected to PC = Progskeet in device manager

when testing for shorts after wiring up on board, without POWER i get message "device not found, pls check all leads on U2 and leads 50 through 75 on U1.

just gambling and trying to either, "Detect or Dump" gives the same error message, and yes atm did not do anything to the R's yet R7 = resistor fitted, R8 = open default, all wires are double checked and with magnify glass to my knowledge no shorts

either way, not for the faint harted hehe..QSB/clip anyone?

maybe i'm misreading ur reply..my bad what u mean?

board/model = DIA-001
wired only 2 GND's from Progskeet 1.2 to motherboard and 3.3v/GND from ATX also to motherboard nothing from ATX to Progskeet.

the error was with default resistors, then i removed R7 and bridged it - R8 open ( wow took me couple tries ) outcome = same error..oh well

any tips are welcome tho..

Downgrade NAND with progskeet 1.2 with wires

Sorry I am jumping in half way

Dia-001 is a nor model and your progskeet 1.2 won't work

Ignore all the r7/r8 leave them both bridged and don't connect any 3.3v wire to skeet from mobo if your using external or ps3 to power

Only wire 3.3 to ps3 if your using no external power

lol..what a waste for NORS, thx for confirm, baileyscream told me the reading ONLY is 50/50 for NOR, guess the DIA-001 is the negative side

can u confirm one more thing since the DIA-001 isn't working even with correct wired/setup for NOR-Progskeet 1.2/Reading flash the error with Winskeet = Device not found, it's Spansion, tested both in settings = Device not found

alrighty..good practice then afterall

hey @Sarah1331 , can u also confirm if i woud gice my skeet 1.0 a try without using ATX PSU and proper soldered it would work to dump/write nor..even if the board is dead..ignore it..for testing u see..

keep it up guys and girls? (they tend to be good at soldering to..) this requires atleast 3 joints no drugs guys its not good for u

thx again
