Help!!
My playstation 3 will not load past the screen where it says Sony Computer Entertainment and has swirling lines. I have a 60GB and cannot figure out how to fix it. It will not go to where the XMB is. Thanks

Did this happen all of a sudden? Are you on latest PS3 FW?

yes I was playing NCAA about 8pm EST and at about 9:30 I was going to play RB2 and It just wouldn't go past that spot. I have the latest firmware as well?

Hmmm, isn't this what happened with an older update? 2.40 I think it was?
I'm pretty sure it was something to do with a badly instaled FW, but since you said the FW is OK when you where playing NCAA it couldn't be a bad install. I guess you could try out the Recovery Menu and reinstall the 2.50 fw and see if that fixes it
