How do you back up hdd on dead ps3?!?
Just last week I got the yellow light of death on my launch day 60gb ps3. Now it will not turn on and my dumb ass never backed up my hard drive. I had a ton of music and pix on there and most importantly about 11 psn games, most of which cannot be re-downloaded due to being bought in group buys. So it is important to me that i try to get that info of my hdd before I even think about sending my ps3 to sony for repairs. Now I have tried putting the hdd in my friends ps3 but it asked me to reformat it which would've cleared up my hdd (so i think). Im hoping some of you guys can help me out here.

You can't backup, your files are unfortunately gone, no way to restore unless you get your dead PS3 working somehow.
The HDD is locked to a PS3 so you can't swap and make it work on another PS3 without formatting. |
