HDFURY
Hi Guys !
I am david, UK reseller for the HDFURY, hdmi to rgb/vga HDCP solution. www.cybershop.ltd.uk I would like to offer my assistance with any questions you may have regarding this product. Please find the latest news: Great news for home theater enthusiasts ! The Green & Red versions of HDFURY will ship out this week. Upgrade *ANY* CRT projector or RGB display device by making it compatible with the latest HDMI/HDCP digital video standards! The HDfury is a revolutionary product that allows you to use the full resolution (up to 1080p) of any DVI/HDMI device on a CRT projector, PC monitor, older HDTV/Plasma TV, or any other device without a DVI/HDMI input! The HDfury allows you to easily add digital devices such as HD-DVD/Blu-Ray players, PS3, X360 Elite, Satellite/Cable HDTV set-top boxes & HTPCs with HDMI graphic cards, to name a few! Simply plug the HDfury into your screen & your DVI/HDMI device into the HDfury. The HDfury is 100% HDCP compliant. It is not an 'HDCP stripper' therefore 100% legal. The HDCP copy protected digital signal is first decrypted and then the digital RGB 4:4:4 signal is converted to an analog signal. Versions: (hdfury unit is same for all 3 versions, just extender cables are different) BLUE (HD15 VGA female to HD15 VGA male cable): Choose this if your display device has a standard female VGA connector. Use the cable if there is not enough space to connect the HDfury directly to your display device's VGA connector. GREEN (HD15 VGA female to 5-BNC male cable): Choose this if you wish to use the 5-BNC (RGBHV) input found on your display device. Most CRT projector owners will use this cable. This is custom made cable to ensure that it does not impede performance in any way up to 1080p for HT users. It is very short, gold plated, properly terminated/75 Ohm cable. RED (HD15 VGA female to Barco Port 3 DB9 male cable): Choose this if you wish to use the RGBHV compatible Port 3 DB9 connector of your Barco projector. This is a custom made cable to ensure that it does not impede performance in any way up to 1080p for HT users. It is very short, gold plated, properly terminated/75 Ohm cable. Note: Barco owners may also choose to use the green (5-BNC) cable of course. For more examples of how to hook up the HDfury see the three diagrams further below from the back of the BLUE/RED/GREEN edition HDfury packaging. Why do i need a HDCP compliant display? HDMI is a new standard that comes with a form of hardware protection called HDCP. If your display doesn't have a HDMI input you won't be able to display 720p/1080p signal on it (from HDMI sources). Prior to exchanging Video data, the HDMI source exchanges HDCP keys with HDMI display. Both devices have a special HDCP chip embedded. If your display doesn't include an HDCP chip, even if it's technically able to display 720p or 1080p signal, it will display a BLACK SCREEN. On some devices (ex: Playstation3) 1080p mode is only available through the HDMI output! Glossary HDCP: High-bandwith Digital Content Protection - Encryption of data over digital connections HDMI: High Definition Multimedia Interface - A digital connection found on most new HDTV's, all HDCP compliant DVI: Digital Visual Interface - Precursor to HDMI, found on many older HDTV's. However, many DVI connections are not HDCP compliant, making them worthless for Blu-ray and HD-DVD playback without a device such as the HDfury RETAIL PRICE: £ 89 / 129 Euros / USD 175 special offer £79 / 119 euros / USD 159 regards David www.cybershop.ltd.uk |
