Sorry but thats false, we only can run Xp via VMWare or other OS Emulators
And not the real WinXP
This is because of the PowerPC Architecture, and WIndows only works under x86CPUs
And the PS3 has only 256MB RAM I think and not 512MB
And thats why OSs are a bit slow, too.

256mb main memory(XDR), the other 256mb is video memory(GDDR3). While in OtherOS, the video memory is not available (altough there was a work around in an older firmware, which has since been patched).

It's a guide for people who a supercomputer would be useful to, not the Average Joe.

I think its not the correct way to brute force ps3 signatures. letters, characters and digits combination takes a lot of time already. Speeding it up will just shorten the period of time to fractions. When I say time it consist of possibilities of time, 30 hrs, 30 days, 30 weeks, 30 years and etc. The more combination you add up the more time it will take. signatures consist of a lot of letters, digits and maybe characters.

I think it is possible to generate signatures that the system recognizes.

May not to you but most people love to. PS3 I can say is the cheapest advance system affordable to be able to get to flops with just a number of units. A super computer can cost up to $ 1m more or less. IBM $ 10m more or less. if you try to buy 100 or more ps3 units then surely it will be a competitive system.

Some companies are already integrating the ps3 in their system With high computing the more service it can provide. and the guy that pirate posted never kept the knowledge but instead showed how it can be possible.

Actually the video memory is available thanks to the devs at ps2dev. It can now be activated and used as swap in YDL 6.1 without rebuilding the kernel.
