Problem: tv controls become unresponsive after going into a ps3 game.

What I have

60gb launch system with 320gb hdd

logitech 5500 5.1 surround sound system hooked up to ps3 with optical cord

RCA HD tv http://tv.rca.com/en-us/modeldetail.html?MN=L32WD22

More explanation

My tv controls only becomes unresponsive after

A) I set my ps3 to optical sound

B) I enter any game

After i exit the game my tv shuts off.

after the insertion of a game the ps3 resizes the output signal to the appropriate resolution. i think there are two options:
1) you set the wrong resolutions for your tv in the display settings
2) you're tv is too slow to change the resolution and has some kind of software error...

by now i can't think of other possibilities...

well it hasnt always done. It started doing it after i started using 5.1 surround sound on ps3

hmm...
that's strange... try holding the power-button while in stand-by until you hear a second beep. then reconfigure everything and try again if the problem persists...

have you tried this:

[RCA LCD]->[Digital out coaxal output from back of RCA]--[coxal cable]--[Logitec amp]

[ps3]

otherwise try some test with diffrent combinations,

i take it you still have SD TV, avmulti plug, maybe diffrent optical, hdmi and or componet cables

if so run some tests to trace what componet combination is causeing problems
then report back what you have found, as this will help us to help you
