What did you do to make it work? I tried removing 2 large extrascinfiles then changed the number of files from 19 to 17 and removed extrascin file entries from the archive file, then fixed permissions from multiman game options, started the game, it came back to xmb, then tried to select bd mirror and internal option, still no luck, anyone has a workaround or fix, please post here.


Ps3 fat ceche01 jailbroken with rogero 4.40 and multiman 4.40 latest version, I also installed rebug 4.20 and psn access is working

ps3rockr are you using DUPLEX or USA-Free version? You have not touched the eboots or anything have you?

Not touched any eboot stuff, I am using duplex EU verison, 37. Xxgb

I have not yet been through all pages, but maybe someone (ps3rockr) could tell me what file or files I have to delete and archive I have to edit? I am missing something here.

I am on Rogero 4.40, and using mM I blackscreen->xmb.

Edit: It seems as if this is common knowledge, but I am clueless. Very new to PS3 systems.

That's strange...i am using USA-FREE version...i did all the above you mentioned and it worked...maybe you can try that version? Also are u sure you did not delete/modify wrong files? double check. you are using ROGERO 4.40? what do you mean Rebug 4.20?

i'm using rogero 4.40. works fine externally. i removed the 2 extrascin.psarc file and edit the archive. That trick only works externally. for internal, i ftp'd the extrascin2.psarc file. it's a 8gig file that can't be loaded onto a fat32 HDD. once that file is loaded. everything should work.

Is yours EU version or US version of god of war?, I will tried open split and copied 9 1gig pieces to game directory, after copy all 9 files merged and showing 1 8gb file, so do I need to have external option and some blueray disc in the drive ?

tey the external option or better yet, if your trying for the internal option, use FTP thru multiman and upload the 8gig file intact. don't split it. that's how i got it to work internally.

Did that last night, used transmit FTP client for Mac to transfer 9.3gb file to ps3, for that I used airport express connected to wireless and from airport express I ran Ethernet to ps3, got 4MBPS max, so started the game with all the files and bd mirror enabled with internal option, this is a newly copied one, removed the old one, still no luck, downloading us version now.

you may have a bad dump. once you finish downloading the US version, try everything again. may just work. even though the EU version that i had worked, i dumped it since i bought the US version and then copied it to my HDD. Having no problems.
