[Released] VidiiU Streamer v1.0 - Wii U Hax
Anyone that owns a Wii U, should know by now that it doesn’t do video playback, you can view some videos via network, using the Web browser, but there isn’t any dedicated transcoding software to let you view all types of video, well not until now.

also, plex works the same way. i use it on all my devices
 the wii-u uses the plex/web interface instead of a native app auto scans folders for new files / downloads art and metadata / organises the content for you. also has plugins similar to navi-x WiiU prueva Plex Media Server - YouTube crappy vid but first i came across setup guide
