I read most of the PDF. I have a phat PS3 from 2008. I won't buy the device because:
-It requires giving up CFW entirely - requires updating to the latest OFW with no way to revert back to CFW.

Sure, I'd like to access PSN w/o getting banned but - I'm not buying this.

I am totally against ODE's for PS3 unless they work for 3K/4K models.
But in @brakk3n s defence, he wrote this PDF and he is not a dev for this device, im sure he probably wishes he was, but he isn't.

I think 3k3y team want that too, but they havent cracked it yet.

To me its not a finished product, but releasing it will at least enable 3rd party people to get involved, since the hardware is available commercially without making it yourself.

I'm not sorry that I do not share the overall consensus that looking at the negative aspect and talking trash is the way to write a review - the constant negative remarks and crap talk is 100% biased. My responsibility as a reviewer is to be objective and not just look at what I personally dislike or the fact it's "cool" to trash talk new things that cost money.

Now, I am not implying that you yourself do this, but the general consensus on progress around here is if it costs money or is created by someone you dislike then it's trash. I do not have the luxury of being a biased arsehold and would of never gotten anywhere in the reviewing scene if I were act as such.

Of course there is a level of bias present in the review because it's being written by a human, but my job is to weigh the negative and positive aspects and present what I think of the product I am reviewing. If I were to simply zone in on the negatives and not mention the positives or not give each equal ground room then I would be a biased trashy reviewer; and that is something I will never be and I would never intentionally spread negativity all of the time because that's the trend as doing so would not benefit me, HAX or the scene in general.

If it were a biased review why would I have spent much time pointing out negative aspects of the product to give you - the reader a fair read on which to base your own opinions on?

I have ZERO desire to learn how to develop hardware, learn how to exploit hardware or write code to do so. I'm fine with writing about what I've been sent to review and have no affiliation with any developer. If I were to be sent total trash I would state that in my review like I have before.

Correct. Cobra ODDE has been sent to beta testers and Cobra claims it will work with 3k/3k models that can be exploited by their probing feature, but not a peep has been said by these testers thus so far. E3's statement was playing "catch-up" as their new products are still in development so they will most likely be the last to release anything, but don't quote me on that. The 3K3y ODDE never advertised it would work with all models, but stated they are working on a probing solution and if you read my review I said the 3K3y will most likely not sell many units until they sort of grabbing the keys from all consoles and not relying on CFW as that is a major drawback and negative aspect of their ODDE. Oh my, did I just say "negative"?

It's funny how on the Internet people seem to think they are empowered to talk trash about something they know nothing about nor have to give proof to substantiate such claims. However, thank you for giving it so much credit as it could make someone buy a product. You are too kind to mention that my simple review could be so powerful, but anyone who purchases a product solely on a single review is not that smart; then again your comments paint that picture for you. Have you proof? Nope and I know this because none exists. I could as much claim you work for Gary and want to discredit this device to sell Cobra's, but then I would be acting just like you.
