It’s kind of like Apple’s deal with RIAA and MPAA they do what it takes to make it happen, it does not make Apple likes it.

multiman update
Guys any help will be appreciated. sorry to jack this thread but it happened when i tried to update Multiman to the latest version.
well here goes: Updated my PS3 to Rogero CFW 4.30 V2.03 with multiman 4.17.00 base and updated again to 4.17.02 pkg files, about a week ago and no problems what so ever. All old and new games worked. backed up resident evil 6 and tested it to be working. enabled internet access on PS3 and tested working. then went to Multiman update online and a new version were available 4.17.05 before i could even start the update my PS3 gave 2 beeps and shut down with a blinking red light. same thing happens when i try to switch it back on. 2 beeps and shut down with a blinking red light. is this hardware related or did i bricked my PS3 somehow? Will a E3 flasher sort out my problem? thanks guys |

Sounds like hardware related. Perhaps you will have to redo the cooling paste?

As I said on twitter, the timing for this addition is pretty poor. Especially considering he's been approached with the idea multiple times by multiple people for multiple sites for about 2 years. It's a shame too, if he had integrated spiffy back during the days of 2.01.xx when I suggested it then the themes available for download inside multiman might actually be up to date once in a while since the authors would be able to update them as well as post new ones at any time and have them show up automagically in multiman's theme downloader section without him even needing to lift a finger. It begs the question that if it really only took him 10 minutes and 20 lines of code then why did he wait until another app had already done it to attach his downloads section to third party sources?

To those that complain of the many updates. I am not here to complain about it but I would just say to keep copies of each new release because your PS3 may not be able to update to the latest one straight out from an old one, esp if on older CFW. Don't learn the hard way because so many download URLs go dead on here fast. You can always update if the source still has valid links ofc.
It would be very very nice if mM would be able to safely update from itself than us needing to do this but still I stay with mM because right now it is STILL the best. IMHO. |
