Supported resolutions
Hi, first post, exiting.... anyway:
I haven't got my ps3 get (on it's way) and I thought it might be a good idea to make a list of supported resolutions. I'm really don't know anything about 1080p, 720p and all those different number :-\ So listing what resolution for what number would be great. Will upload wallpapers when I know what res to use ;D *modifying* Gaaah just remembered, what file type should backgrounds be? |

Re: Supported resolutions
1080p
720p 1080i 720i these tell you the resolution of the TV. the number represents how many lines of pixels there are vertically and the p(progressive) or i(interlaced) tells you how the tv scans the image progressive is when the tv does line 1, then line 2, line 3 , etc. , etc. interlaced is when the tv does line 1, then line 3, up to 1079, then it starts at line 2 and then line 4, etc. till it gets to 1080 progressive gives you better image quality and is generally more expensive than interlaced tv's |

So 720p = 720px high and... and... then the width is depending on the screen size or is there a fixed number for this as well?
For example my tv, which is 32" widescreen CRT. The image will need to be 720px high and something like 1000px in width? plx gief more hielp and thank you for so far ;D |
