PS3 FMW 1.81 EU

This apparently the method to go around to do this with:

1. Put the TIFF on a USB (Download Here)
2. Insert a PS1 Game in the PS3,
3. Insert the card/USB with the TIFF exploit and go to Photo icon let it load.
3. Try to start the game and it should just lock up.
4. Then swap the real ps1 disk with a backup ps1 disk and take the USB out.
5. The PS1 backup should load.

Can anyone confirm if this works or can we call this a dud?

This is only for firmware version 1.81

I have two Ps3´s one with FW 1.81 and one PS3 has Firmware 1.90. I have tested this Exploid with 2 Ps2 one games, 2 ps2 games and one ps3 backp. The Backup´s doesnt work on the machines.

if u look, the disc he puts in is SWAP MAGIC!
the Swap Magic Disc has the first part of an ORIGINAL playstation disc on it, this is how is loads up to start with, then it goes to Swap Magic's own coding! which then lets u load a back-up ps1 or 2 game!
if u put Swap Magic into the PS3 it loads up anyway, but there is no way of swappingthe disc without the hard mod of the switch to spit out the disc!

I did not create this method, but it was floating around on youtube and I grabbed it. Anyone else confirm if this is a dud?

you are correct this avoids a hardware mod if it is real
