Yea, I got the error when I was playing heavy rain demo. I had my ps3 on for hours today and it was fine until I played demo.I think it happens if you play a new enough game or demo.If you're still online with phat you probably didn't try one of these games. I'm not sure that's the reason, but it seems like it to me. My ps3 is 60gb model. Still hooks to internet browser works just not PSN.

i have played darksiders home and dl the yakuza3 demo and played it and im still fine

oh and i was able to make a new account and it worked fine

well that's great for you that you aren't effected and you don't have to prove a thing to me, i'll take your word for it.

i am effected but i can still play demos and browse the internet, just anything that involves psn for anything is fubared for me.

qraze i think you may be right on your theory, this is the first leap year the ps3 has encountered and that theory would consolidate on the setting of date and time

Rumor is you just need to remove the system battery for ~10 minutes, then replace it and the time will reset. After that everything will work as normal.

what system battery? btw im pretty sure the mobo will have a battery like pc's do for time and date settings and bios
