Excuse my computer ignorance here, but would Sony be able to detect if this method is being used by tracking IP addresses of the DNS or would they only detect my internet IP address and start banning accounts?

Also, how reliable is this, it's not going to sniff my password is it?

Its a text file that tells sony's server that your running 3.21 when ur not really running it.

I doubt it will sniff out your password
