Whilst there are rumours circulating about a possible XMB redesign, systemlink.gamersguidetolife.com, posted an article about a new PS3 firmware coming in June which will give your console more 3D game support, could this new firmware also be the the new XMB redesign.

Updates I want to buy some new games but I don't want to be force to update and lose my other os.

yeah me to but I think the best we can do right now is to wait for some kind of custom firmware, from either geohotz or teamhades..
but back to topic now
I don't expect this update to be a huge success and the reason is, when the updates arrives, people would most likely go out and buy some 3d games but lots of people will also be surprised, when they realize, that the current generation of HD tvs are not able to handle the 3d output, that's needed, so they would probably have to fork out some more money.The interesting part of the hole 3d HD tv thing is,
Is how ridiculous the price tag of one of those ting is.I few months ago I asked a sony employer, how much money I'd have to give out for a 3d flat-screen,when they got them in the store and he said it would cost around 30.00kr=4947,15 USD.The point is that you guys need to realize that $ony is only a money machine and the more 3d Bravia they can sell,the shorter they can laugh to the bank :b

Well, 40" 3d LED samsungs go for around 1900 euro's now at chain which isn't the most cheap, so I guess it's a bit more expensive.. Don't actually know what the same non 3d LED version costs..

The update is kind of useless. What games will actually support real 3d? Would be cool If they do a patch update to gow3 to support 3d. Would be a marvel to look at. Slightly off topic again, I just wish Geohot would say something. On topic again, lol, this update isn't that of value at the moment, considering the lack of 3D tvs, the high price for these tvs, what games of interest support 3D at the moment and I haven't heard of any upcoming game supporting it.
